Building on past collaborations, Edm8ker and TEPH join forces to deliver hands-on STEM programs, professional development, and community engagement initiatives for local students and educators.
Somerville, MA – [2 Jan 2024] – edm8ker, a leading innovator in STEM and digital-making education, is excited to announce an expanded partnership with The Elizabeth Peabody House Association (TEPH) to further promote future-ready skills and creative problem-solving among youth in Greater Boston. This deeper collaboration builds on previous successful joint projects, such as a summer school digital makerspace pilot program, instructional coaching, and empowering informal educators to run online makerspaces.
edm8ker’s Makercart, which was previously purchased by TEPH, has already been a key tool in delivering hands-on STEM learning experiences. Through this partnership, Edm8ker will enhance its support to TEPH by providing:
- Monthly STEM Activities: Facilitating up to two Makercart Activities per month, from November 2024 to June 2025, with complete supplies and a trained STEM educator. These sessions will continue fostering creativity and innovation among students through hands-on projects.
- Professional Development and Instructional Coaching: Continuing to offer coaching and instructional support to TEPH staff, ensuring they are equipped to run high-quality STEM programs independently, in line with past collaborations.
- Quarterly STEM Workshops: Engaging the broader community by hosting hands-on workshops for families, aligning with TEPH’s mission to foster community involvement through education.
